Our Services

Disability Support Services

Please call HOC (310) 241-4818 or (310) 241-4800 ext. 4818

Our Disability Support Services (DSS) team provides assistance and accommodations to our students with verifiable disabilities.

DSS staff is available to ensure students’ needs are met by facilitating necessary documentation for registration, textbooks, supplies and reasonable accommodations, mandated by State and Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) laws, including: assessment accommodations, assistive technology, enlargements, agency referrals, sign language interpreting, and resource rooms. Recorded and braille course materials are also available. Whether you are seeking to learn English, earn your high school diploma, get career training or participate in any of the other programs we offer, our DSS staff is dedicated and passionate about providing the services you need to be successful!

While many of our students utilizing DSS services are originally referred to us by the Veterans Administration, the California Department of Rehabilitation, private rehabilitation agencies or even LA Unified’s own District Office of Transition Services (DOTS), we encourage all of our students who feel they may need assistance and/or reasonable accommodations to contact us.
